
The Busway is your fast and direct service between Luton and Dunstable 01 Jan 2020 - 31 Dec 2020
The Luton-Dunstable Busway is a guided busway system between Houghton Regis, Dunstable and Luton opened in September 2013.
The busway runs parallel to the A505 Dunstable Road and the A5065 Hatters Way for a distance of 13.4 kilometres (8.3 mi), of which 7.7 kilometres (4.8 mi) is guided. It was built on the route of a disused railway track and allows buses to operate traffic free. Small control wheels guide the buses steering along the special guide track with a maximum speed of 50 mph.
It is the longest guided urban busway in the world!
Centrebus service B links Luton Interchange with Dunstable Centre via The Busway and then on to Downside estate
Centrebus service E links Luton Galaxy Centre to Dunstable Centre via The Busway and then on to Houghton Regis and Toddington
Centrebus service L links Luton Galaxy Centre to Skimpot via The Busway and then on to Lewsey Farm
Return tickets purchased on the Busway can also be used on Arriva services A and Z and Grant Palmer services C and CX.
