Road Closed: North Street, Barrow Upon Soar
Date: Monday 12th May to Sunday 8th June 2025
Service affected: 24A, LC5, 5X
Due to road works on North Street, Barrow, between Beaumont Road and Thirlmere Road, the 24A, LC5, 5X services will be on diversion for the duration of the closure.
24A Service to/from Barrow
Will operate as normal on Sileby road and South Street (heading to Barrow), but instead of heading to the roundabout on South Street, it will divert right onto Melton Road, left onto Melton Road, at the roundabout it take 1st exit onto Melton Road, next roundabout it will take 1st exit onto Fishpool Way, at the roundabout it will take 1st exit onto Nottingham Road, left onto Babington Road, right onto Melton Road onto Grove Lane, back on its normal line of route to Leicester.
LC5 to Loughborough
It will operate as normal from Walton on the Wolds via Nottingham Road, but instead of continuing on North Street, it will divert left onto Babington Road, right onto Melton Road onto Grove Lane, right onto South Street, at the roundabout take 2nd exit onto the High Street, left onto Cotes Road, back on normal route.
LC5 to Sileby and Thurmaston
Will operate the reverse of the above.
5X to Loughborough
Will operate as normal into Barrow via Sileby Road, Melton Road, but instead of turning left onto Babington Road, it will continue on Melton Road, take 1st exit to stay on Melton Road, at the roundabout take 1st exit onto Fishpool Way, at the roundabout take 1st exit onto Nottingham Road, left onto Babington Road, right onto Melton Road and Grove Lane, right onto South Street, at the roundabout take 2nd exit onto the High Street, left onto Cotes Road, back on its normal line of route.
5X to Sileby
From Cotes Road, it will turn right onto the High Street, left onto South Street, left onto Melton Road, continue on Melton Road to the roundabout. where it will take 1st exit onto Fishpool Way, left onto Nottingham Road, left onto Babington Road, right onto Melton Road onto Grove Lane, left onto Sileby Road, back on its normal line of route.
