Stuck for something to do with the kids? Why not enjoy a great day out at the zoo? There are some sizzling offers available when you travel by train to Luton and catch the connecting bus. With so much to see and do, a visit to ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is the perfect day out in Bedfordshire for people of all ages. Explore acres and acres of epic adventure at the UK’s biggest zoo.

Whipsnade Zoo is the UK’s biggest Zoo. Home to more than 2,500 animals, many of which are endangered in the wild, the Zoo’s impressive 600 acre site can be found on the Chiltern Hills, near Dunstable, Bedfordshire. It is run by the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), a charity devoted to the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats, and is a companion to ZSL London Zoo in Regent's Park, London. ZSL is actively involved in ‘bringing down the bars’ by creating interactive, immersive and inspiring exhibits. In recent years new exhibits, such as Wild Wild Whipsnade, Cheetah Rock, Rhinos of Nepal, and In with the Lemurs, show how ZSL creates realistic environments to house some of the world’s most impressive and inspiring animals. The Zoo is involved in a combination of conservation projects in the UK and overseas, breeding programmes for native and exotic animals, and research within the Zoo; and works very closely with BIAZA (the British and Irish Association of Zoo and Aquariums) and EAZA (the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums)
